Baby showers gather family and friends together to celebrate the coming of a new bundle of joy. Planning one is both fun and challenging. If you decide to host a baby shower for an expectant friend, though it can be challenging, but you don't have to get all stressed out over it. A baby shower doesn't have too much, so instead of stressing yourself out, feel happy and privileged that with so many friends she has, you are the one who has given an opportunity that you won't regret in your entire life.
One of the most important things you need to consider when planning a baby shower is the look of the party itself. How will you make it look appealing? Obviously, you have to give effort, as any party is expected to be decorated nicely. Whether the shower is small or big, it is always nice to embellish it with something that would make it look alive.
When decorating a baby shower, there's no other better idea you need to be than being creative. You don't have to be an artist to enhance the look of the party you are organizing. Simplicity will still be a beauty. Do not go overboard when it comes to your decorations. There are lots of way to be simply creative with the use of traditional decors such as balloons, banners, streamers, ribbons, confetti and flowers.
Using balloons, you can creatively enhance the look of the chair for where the mom-to-be will sit while she opens all the gifts. Simply tie the balloons on the back of the chair, and just add ribbons to give a bit of flair. This is one creative way to gather attention from the party guests, and something that would really look good in pictures. Crepe paper also look good hanging on the walls of the party venue. They often look great and very eye catching. Use various colors of crepe papers to make the room alive. This is another great idea that will look good in pictures.
Keep in mind that the exterior part of the venue needs to be decorated as well. If the party is held at home, you may consider a yard sign that says about the baby shower. You can play around the sign, like including funny phrases and the like. Alternatively, you may put a banner on the garage door. This often works wonders to some people. Anyone who can spy on this will be in the mood to party even before he/she has entered the house.
Centerpieces are often used to decorate party tables. Aside from walls, ceilings and the exterior of the venue, you don't want to forget decorating the tables. These are where the guests will eat the party meal so they have to be appealing, as well.
You can use flowers,
baby shower favors,
baby gift baskets, or
baby diaper cakes as table centerpieces. Balloons are great idea too. Or, if you want to be more creative, consider putting a fishbowl to the center of a table, put some water in it and then have the rubber ducky floating on the water.
