Baby Shower Party Plan: The Do's And Don'ts

When planning for a baby shower party, there are some do's and don'ts that needs to be considered. Here are some:

The Do's:

Do plan ahead of time. Often mistake being made when planning a baby shower is waiting until a month before the shower to start planning. This is truly not enough time to plan and have every ready.
Do carefully make the guest list and baby shower invitations. Determine who should be invited. Ask the new parents if who are the people they would like to be present at the party.
Do decide on what type of theme the party should have.
Do think about the schedule of the party: day and time. Consider to schedule the party on the day that most of the guests are available. The time of the party will tell what type foods are to be served. Consider serving foods that are easy to eat.
Do consider baby shower decorations for the party. Whether it is a small get together party or huge one, decorating the venue would still always look nice.
Do plan for fun baby shower games which everyone could enjoy. The games, however, should not be overly complicated or embarrassing.
Do have a great time at the baby shower. This will not be hard to do if the shower have been planned and prepared ahead of time.

The Don'ts:
Don't think that the baby shower party can be put together without some organization. The party needs to have a good organization to make it run smoothly.
Don't disregard possible dietary restrictions. This may be important to the new mom or any of the guests.
Don't feel obliged to host a half day shower party. Many of the best baby showers are short and yet still sweet.
Don't plan on making the final preparations on the day of the baby shower. Remember, there are lots of things that can be done ahead of time. The house needs to be cleaned a few days before the shower and some of the foods can be made as well. Most of the purchases should be made before the shower day and all baby shower gifts and baby shower favors that will be given at the shower should be prepared and wrapped.
